REM Electronics has evolved quite dramatically since our inception in 1955.

REM, like many of today's leaders in industrial electronic distribution, started in business with a sales and service operation that focused on the consumer marketplace.
At that time, television antennas and hi-fi equipment were in demand, and provided opportunities for an entrepreneurial, hard working individual.

Our founder R.E. Miller took advantage of these opportunities.

The consumer marketplace was highly competitive and the opportunities for increased growth within the consumer business were limited, during this time the REM Consumer group sold TV's with antennas and recorded one of the first recordings for Glass Harp, a popular band of the time, on reel to reel.

REM became an industrialist serving American Industry. The industrial marketplace provided greater opportunities for our founder. The decision to migrate the company's sales and service efforts from the consumer market, to an industrial account base during the early 70's was a good one. It has served REM well, allowing REM to become one of the top 100 electronic distributors. A great achievement considering the 1,000's of distributors within the United States.

One thing we hope hasn't changed is our ability to address any customer application or concern and provide a solution.
  
Today, REM electronics is a full service general line distributor, with over 75,000 sq. ft. of combined office & warehouse space. REM is Y2K Compliant, and ISO-9002 certified. We offer a wide variety of value-added services, specializing in passive & electro-mechanical components, and equipment for industry. MRO & OEM, & Wire Harness applications for industry are REM's specialties.
